Welcome to Dictionapp (“the App”), a platform designed to facilitate vocabulary learning in different languages. By accessing or using our application, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the App.

1. Account Creation and Access

To use the App, users must create an account using their Google account. By creating an account, you agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information. Your account is personal and non-transferable. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for any activity that occurs under your account.

2. Personal Data and GDPR Compliance

a) Collected Personal Data
When creating an account, we collect and store the following personal data:

  • Email address
  • Google ID
  • Native language
  • Languages you wish to learn

Additionally, we may request access to your Google name and profile picture to enhance your experience within the App.

b) Purpose of Data Processing
We use this data to personalize your learning experience and provide the services contracted through the App. We may also use this data to improve the functionality of the App and send communications related to the App’s usage or important updates, always with your consent.

c) Legal Basis for Data Processing
The processing of your personal data is carried out based on the following legal grounds:

  • Consent: We collect your consent to access and process your data when you register for the App.
  • Performance of a contract: Processing is necessary to provide you with the App’s services.
  • Legitimate interests: We process your data to improve our services and ensure the security of the App.

4. Premium Subscriptions

We offer a Premium subscription that provides access to additional features. Subscriptions are available on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, or annual basis. By subscribing, you agree to pay the corresponding fees. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before the start of a new billing cycle. Fees are non-refundable once processed, except in exceptional circumstances defined by us or in accordance with applicable law.

5. Advertising

Users who do not subscribe to our Premium version may see advertisements within the App. Ads are provided by third parties, and we are not responsible for the content or practices of these advertisers. If you prefer an ad-free experience, you may opt for a Premium subscription.

6. Liability and Warranties

We make every effort to ensure that the App functions properly and is available at all times. However, we do not guarantee that the App will be free of errors, technical failures, or interruptions. The use of the App is at your own risk. We are not responsible for any direct or indirect damages arising from the use or inability to use the App, including data loss or service interruptions. The App is not intended to replace formal academic training or provide any guarantee of language learning results.

7. Modifications to the Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any substantial changes through the App or via email. Your continued use of the App after the Terms have been updated implies your acceptance of such changes.

8. Account Cancellation and Closure

You may cancel your account at any time from the App’s settings. If you decide to cancel your Premium subscription, you will continue to have access to Premium features until the end of the current billing period. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.

9. Applicable Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the [country or region] in which the App is offered, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
